During this workshop, you will learn how to use the wall to help you and your students build strength and improve range of motion. By using the yoga wall and other props, you will learn to target, isolate, stretch and strengthen the muscles that will help you move into a deeper range of flexibility with relative ease.
This intensive will focus on learning wall set-ups – both beginner and advanced – that will help you, and your students, create deeper openings and attain greater stability in all postures.
The deeper openings will come from learning how to target and then “let go” of those tight areas in the body. Increased stability will evolve from learning better engagement and building strength in the primary muscles involved in each posture.
Through the support of the wall you are able to hold the poses longer and use your breath as a guide to protect your muscles and joints, greatly improving the “flow” of your practice.
This knowledge is particularly useful when working with students in a 1-on-1 situation, addressing their specific injuries or areas of concern.
