What in your practice inspires you to teach? I genuinely f@#king love my students! End of story:) They inspire me more than I inspire them. No joke.
Tell us a little about your yoga journey and how this influences what you bring across in your teaching? At the beginning of my yoga journey I experienced some teachers that were not necessarily authentic in their practices and teachings. As a student it can be very easy to get caught up in things that don't necessarily resonate w u. I have learned through this journey that the best teachers are the ones that provide their students with the tools for their own individual self discovery - for me yoga is not about the external coming in but rather our internal selves coming to fruition.
What is your favorite activity outside of yoga and how does yoga help this activity? Drinking copious amounts of Cabernet to deal w my 3 spirited children - the hot room is the perfect forum to sweat the toxins out. Kidding. Kind of ... It's all about balance yo!!
What makes teaching at Kaia Yoga a unique experience? So funny - I touched on this today in a conversation with another teacher! The teachers, class styles and individuality of the students. Everyone brings their own unique personality and teachings and it's great - there is something for everyone. I can take a class that is not remotely close to how I teach and what is my norm and I still get so much out of it and love it. Gina and Stan are truly amazing people. Not just saying that to get brownie points :) They have created a beautiful community and I am so grateful and proud to be a part of it. Om shanti shanti shanti om
